Rider Training
If you decide to join us you will be assigned a RoSPA approved tutor and you will agree with them when and where your training will take place.
Your training, which is based on “Motorcycle Roadcraft, the Police Riders Handbook” and the Highway Code, will last between 4 and 10 sessions. Each session lasts from 2 to 4 hours and will include riding, discussion and theory, demonstrations and practice. You will also have the option to join theory sessions, based on Roadcraft and organised by the Drivers' Section, which are held on alternate Sunday mornings at Greasley.
Towards the end of your course, another tutor will assess your riding and either recommend an extra run or two, or that you apply for your test. Whether or not you take the test is entirely up to you.
